2010 16th annual Hudson Valley Workshop with Burton Silverman

The July 19th - July 23rd, 2010 workshop has been completely filled. We will, however, keep a waiting list in case of any last minute withdrawals.

  • Tuition for the 5-day, morning and afternoon sessions is $2,200. The food, lodging, etc. are the responsibility of the attendees.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required to guarantee placement in the workshop. Please mail checks** to the address listed below. Sorry, we do not take credit cards as their fees are onerous for one limited use events such as this workshop.

  • There are 14 spots available in the class.

    >
  • We ill provide further information regarding a materials list, what you'll need to bring, lodging and other directions in the month following receipt of your deposit and acceptance.

  • In the event that the class is oversubscribed, we will either make a waiting list or consider the possibility of a second class.

  • Please make all checks payable to: Silverman Studios, Inc.

  • Mail all checks to:

Silverman Studios, Inc.
324 West 71st St.
New York, NY 10023

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We hope you can take part in what promises to be an exciting and productive summer.

** We're sorry...

Please use checks (personal, business or money order) for any and all payments. We unfortunately do not accept credit card/Paypal payment due to the extra burden of the fees charged. If payment by check is not possible, we will do our best to accomodate all students with regard to payment and pay schedules.

A NOTE about tuition........

We have occasionally had some strong response to the cost of this workshop. Understandably, we recognize that it can be a hardship for some, perhaps many in this economic climate. The small, limited class size allows for many more minutes of one-on-one work with Mr. Silverman and deepens the impact of the course. We feel this is unique, especially compared to workshops elsewhere that have a large number of students and at times, less-than-dedicated instruction.

The tuition costs are also geared to inflation and the resulting increase in model fees and utility bills (air conditioning, etc.). However, to reduce your costs we have secured a drastically reduced rate at the local motel, located close to the studio. Local restaurants are also very modest in price and are comparable to other tourist centers or European junkets (though probably not appreciably different than other places in the US outside of big urban areas).

Thanks for your understanding.

Very sincerely,

J.T. Yost
